The Chinese Tariffs implemented on July 15, 2018 have had a major impact on the electronics industry. Since then, MyArrow has worked hard to display the most relevant and accurate information about tariffs on parts we sell. Click below to learn more about tariffs or scroll down to see how MyArrow displays tariff information.
The shopping cart displays tariff information in several places. If your cart has parts with tariffs associated to them, there will be a message at the top of the cart. The parts with tariffs will have asterisks next to them. The sum total of all tariff charges in your cart will display underneath the subtotal on the lefthand side of the cart.
Similar to the shopping cart, the quote cart will display a message if parts in your quote cart have tariffs associated to them. Each part with a tariff will have an asterisk next to it. Hovering over the asterisk displays a reminder message that there is a tariff associated with that part.
The quote summary page offers the most in-depth look at tariff charges. Each line will display the tariff charge associated with that line rather than showing the aggregate total for the entire quote.
When searching for parts, MyArrow will inform you in the ‘additional info’ column that there is a tariff associated with a particular part. If you click on the tariff details link, it will take you to a page with more information about tariffs in general.
The BOM tool is very similar to part search in how it displays tariff information. Tariff information can be found in the ‘Price’ column underneath the buying options for a part. Clicking ‘Tariff Info’ will take you to a page with more information about tariffs in general.
